Truck Mounted Bundle Extractor
Truck Mounted Bundle Extractor is completely self-sufficient. It travels at highway speeds mounted on a cab over truck, eliminating transportation costs. The Truck Mounted Bundle Extractor’s capabilities extend to enable it to pull, transport to a cleaning location and unload the bundle without the assistance of other trucks or cranes. The main advantages of using a Truck Mounted Bundle Extractor are that pulling and reinstalling bundles can be done in a faster, easier, safer and cheaper manner.
The equipment is a combination of a tube bundle heat exchanger extractor and a bare chassis-cab truck mounted together.
The machine is therefore able to operate autonomously, without the need of a crane, to extract tube bundles at a variable height between 0.5 and 6.5 m in height.
The truck mounted machine is equipped with a hydraulic pump adapted to imprint to the oil of the operating hydraulic circuit, the necessary operating pressure; the truck’s electrical system will also provide the power for all the functions.
This extractor is able to operate on bundles with a maximum weight of 25 tons and up to 6200 mm long. The extractor itself is formed by a winch (both pushing and pulling) and by a binary 7.0m long on which the winch slides.
The track is supported by a rammer which enables a longitudinal translation of 2500 mm. The track can also move transversely by 400 mm.
The rammer, similar to a forklift, has the function to support and move the load of the bundle with a change of the level during the movement.
The rammer and the boom stand on a turntable situated on the back side of the truck.
The winch is equipped with a hydraulic motor, that besides providing the stroke of the winch, is also able to develop a traction force on the horizontal beam of 62 t; and thanks to the hydraulic system it can attach the tube bundle.
The translation motion on the track is realized by two pairs of gears which mesh with the two gear racks integral to the top flange of the profiles.
